πŸ‘‘Battle Royale Specifics

Overview

30 players drop into the match in places that they chose on matchmaking screen. Drop places are limited with the Shadow Zone that is randomly chosen for each match.

The match ends when there's only one player left.

Equipment Attributes

Players may have some equipment equipped before the match. Those sets are called loadouts. However, all players start the match without their loadouts, only with the default melee weapon.

Each equipment item has certain attributes, like Grade, Adjective, Material, etc. Whenever a player picks up an item in the match, all these attributes are inherited from those that player has in their loadout. If a player doesn't have an item of this category in their loadout then all attributes are set to their lowest values.

The only exception is Rarity - in the course of a match players may get items of lower, equal, or higher rarity than in their loadout.

For example, Player 1 has the Uncommon Ornate Steel Helmet A in their loadout. Player 1 plays the game and sees an Epic Helmet B lying on the floor. When they pick it up it will be Epic Ornate Steel Helmet B. Rarity is visible on a floor, so its taken from the item itself, however all other attributes are taken from the loadout helmet.

Weapons and Slots

Players have 3 weapon slots with shared ammo between slot 2 and 3.

Slot 1 is reserved for a melee weapon and this weapon cannot be changed.

Slot 2 is reserved for the loadout weapon. Whenever a player picks it up in a match - it goes into slot 2.

Slot 3 is reserved for the offhand weapon.

If the slot 3 is busy and a player is trying to pick up a weapon that is not a loadout weapon then this weapon goes into slot 3, pushing out the one that is there.

In case a player doesn't have a weapon in their loadout then the the first weapon picked in a match goes into slot 2 and block it. Aftewards the weapon handling goes the same way as above.

In case a player picks up a weapon that they already carry then there are two options:

  • If new weapon is of higher rarity then it replaces the weapon in a corresponding slot. Weapon from the slot is not being dropped on the ground

  • If new weapon is of the same or lower rarity then it's consumed and gives some ammo

Crates and Airdrop

If a player has a weapon in their loadout but hasn't picked it up yet then any crate will always drop their weapon among other things.

When a player picked up their loadout weapon then crates have a chance to drop gear from players' loadout or other weapons, among other things.

When the match starts the game calculates the average rarity of weapons between all players. This average rarity then serves as a reference value for all crates.

Common crates will drop equipment with rarity that is 2-3 steps lower than the average.

Uncommon crates will drop with rarity that is 2 steps lower than the average.

Rare crates will drop with rarity that is between 1 step lower and 1 step higher than the average.

Epic crates will drop with rarity that is 0-2 steps higher.

Legendary crates (Airdrop) will use rarity that is 4-6 steps higher than the average.
