🦸Characters

Overview

You can have all of the fanciest equipment in the world, but it’s not just about your equipment it’s about how you wear it! Equipment is attached to your character, which is your representation in the Burst Royale metaverse.

Characters are only cosmetic items, with no power/gameplay attached.

Free Characters

At launch, we’ll have a selection of non-NFT characters. Every player will have access to some of those characters to wear equipment and participate in matches. Other characters can be unlocked by progressing in the game.

Players can’t bring these non-NFT characters out of the game client to trade them on the marketplace as NFTs.

NFT Characters

Later down the line, we may introduce NFT characters as well, and maybe even some NFT cosmetics on top.

Players will be able to buy NFT characters on the marketplace or from sales organized by us or our partners.

Players can use these characters in the gameplay and also outside to represent their metaverse profile. Players choose a character out of all the ones they own, put on some equipment they own onto them, and use the resulting visual to represent themselves in both gameplay and the metaverse.

Gameplay Effect

Neither Free nor NFT characters have any effect on the gameplay, they are purely cosmetic entities. Whilst there are many other games that incorporate gameplay elements within their characters, we feel this is very limiting in the world of Blockchain gaming.

In Web3, each of our digital representations is unique, just like real life. Therefore it is important to us to create a game where you can both look and play in your own way that is unique to you, and that you aren’t forced to look or play as something you don’t like.

It also unlocks a possibility in the future for creators to freely make more great characters without compromising or having to consider the gameplay.
